Tigh Sgoile Studio
Book Tigh Sgoile Studio
Tigh Sgoile Studio is provided on a 'room only' basis and is available during the summer months.
The Studio can also be booked as an extra room for guests in Tigh Sgoile Loft Apartment or Schoolhouse Cottage who require extra space for their group.
Wake up and look out onto the stunning views of Loch Linnhe and the mountains of Glencoe and Ballachulish. The Studio is secluded and private and has recently been refurbished to a luxury standard.
Situated on the ground floor with easy access to the garden, Tigh Sgoile Studio comprises a spacious, south-facing bedroom, beautiful en-suite shower room and a private outdoor seating area.
The king size bed has a luxurious memory foam mattress.
The large en-suite shower room has a full force power shower.
There is a small 'Breakfast Bar' which has a sink, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge, but please note, there is NO hob or oven (cooker). So it is not possible for guests to prepare meals other than heating food in the microwave. Tea, coffee, milk etc are provided.
There is a smart TV for catch-up, etc.
Outside, there are beautiful gardens and a table and chairs from where you can enjoy the views over the loch.
Across the road, a path leads on to a secluded, shingle beach with views eastwards towards Glencoe and westwards towards the Isle of Mull.
The atmosphere is relaxed, informal and, at the same time, private and independent.
Hi speed internet is available free of charge.
The Studio is private and secure. Access is via a shared front door with The Loft Apartment, but is secluded from the main part of the house where we live.
Interaction with guests
We live in the main part of the house and are around most of the time. If you need any tips on places to visit, local pubs, restaurants and walks, we would be delighted to help you.
Please note that we have a dog. He is a small, white fluffy Maltese/Shitzu cross and very friendly with people, but we will keep him away from any guests who may not like dogs.
Other things to Note:
Please note that there is potential for noise, as our house is on the A82, but at night traffic is minimal.
And finally... a little piece of history: Tigh Sgoile means the "Schoolhouse" in Gaelic and the building served as Onich's village school from 1876 until 1980. The Studio is in the room once occupied by the school teacher.
